Jeffrey “Hulkie” Zaugg, 64 of Kihei, Maui, passed away on February 16, 2014. He was born on June 22, 1949 in San Luis Obispo, California. Jeff came to Maui with his good friend, Vance Akinaka, in the early 70’s in search of surf and adventure and lived for several years in theahana/Napili area. He worked for over 25 years at the Chart House and most recently as a mortgage broker for Pacific Home Loans. He is survived by his wife, Sallie Zaugg; son, Zachary; brother, Curtis (Cathy) Zaugg; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy & Bill Cross; nieces & nephews, Candace (Chris) Lanier, Kendall Cross, Clayton Zaugg, Sammy Zaugg, Danielle Zaugg and Sarah Zaugg . A celebration of his life and spreading of his ashes will take place on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Airport Beach from 3:30-6:30pm.
