Obituary for Setsuko Asato
Setsuko Hironaka Asato, 91 of Pukalani, passed away on September 17, 2019 at Islands Hospice in Kahului. She was born in Haiku on August 3, 1928.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday October 26, 2019, at Makawao Hongwanji Mission, service over urn will begin at 11 a.m.
Family request that any monetary donation be made to Makawao Hongwanji Mission.
Setsuko was a school teacher at Haiku Elementary School.
She is survived by her daughter, Laureen (Sabi Inderkum) Asato; son, Kelly (Gayle) Asato; son-in-law, Lyle Hirota; brother, Arthur Hironaka; and grandchildren, Kip and Kaylie Asato.
Setsuko is predeceased by her husband, Chester Asato and daughter, Suzanne Hirota.
