Life Story for Jimmy Borges
Friends and fans of legendary Hawaii jazz vocalist Jimmy Borges will have two chances to say a final goodbye to the entertainer, who died May 30 after succumbing to terminal liver and lung cancer.
Borges, 80, died two days after winning his first four Na Hoku Hanohano Awards and was unable to attend the live telecast to personally accept his awards. His self-titled album won album of the year, male vocalist of the year and jazz album of the year, and Borges was also recognized as favorite entertainer of the year in a public vote.
