John Harrison Dean, 83, of Kalopa Mauka, was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 13, 1933, and died at home on July 4, 2016. John was a Marine Corps veteran. He owned yacht charter companies in California and Washington, farmed mac nuts in Honomolino and ran a family sheep farm in Kalopa Mauka.
He is survived by wife, Jan Dean of Kalopa Mauka; son Chip Dean of Shingle Springs, California; daughters Bryson (Brian) Gauthier-Dean of Somerset, Massachusetts; Sally (Albert) Dean Mello of Marshfield, Massachusetts; sister Bryson Dean of Iowa City, Iowa; stepsons Sunny (SherrieAnn) Walker of Hilo, Nino (Karen) Walker of San Francisco, and 5 granddaughters.
Donations welcomed for Disabled American Veterans.
