Dear Family and Friends of the late Roy Naopu'u: My name is Brian Moto, from St. John's Episcopal Church, Kula. On behalf of St. John's and its hospital ministry, I express sincere condolences on Roy's passing. He was a kind and gracious man, and we will miss him greatly. St. John's conducts a hospital chapel service on the Third Sunday of each month. We have been doing this for more than 25 years. One of our great privileges is getting to know residents like Roy. He would always smile a greeting and say, "Good to see you." We called him "Uncle Roy", with great affection and respect. I very much regret not being able to attend the memorial service at Maliko Bay due to caregiving duties for my elderly mom, who has Alzheimers. My prayers are with you all, and I bid Roy a heartfelt "aloha". "Eternal rest grant him O Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon him."
